I think I found my grandpa reincarnated online - which is strange, since this guy seems to be only thirty years or so younger than my grandpa would be today.
Anyway, the guy talks like us, acts like us. “I don’t think it’ll kill nobody” made me laugh out loud, because that’s our attitude as we continue scarfing down some thing we don’t like but that is technically edible and nutritious.
These old ways of natural talking that used to be so everyday common in my youth are dying out, and even I have to make an effort to not revert to the bland, everyday city/internet speech that is nowadays so overwhelmingly pervasive all around us.
I miss the days when we could talk with absolutely zero self consciousness because we were so isolated from the rest of the world. On the other hand, The Practical Woodsman couldn’t also exist in that pre-internet world, either. So it’s quite a paradox.
