Common folk often refer to these as “wild strawberries” which is incorrect. These are specifically “mock strawberries”. The reason this matters is because there is indeed another strawberry called “wild strawberry” that is sweeter and more pleasant than even store-bought strawberries. The “mock” strawberries have very little sweetness or flavor, though they are edible.
I have taken and saved more pictures that mean so much to me over the past 30 years than I will ever be able to share. Because of technology, I have only really been able to video record my experiences for about ten years or so. Before that, it was all just photographs.
My nephew is coming to Pennsylvania from Michigan for the first time in his life tomorrow. So Tuesday and Wednesday I'm fixing on taking him to a real Pennsylvania coal mine and down the shore fishing. I'm also fixing to do some videos at the coal mine for y'all. Pioneer coal mine in Ashland Pennsylvania just south of the famous Centralia burnt out town. Also if I catch some fish I'll put up some recipes too. Hopefully I can get some sharks for y'all.
