The Practical Woodsman is a way to share love of the wilderness, as well as my observations, thinking, and approach to what folks today are calling 'bushcraft' and 'survival'. The focus is on what is practical, as well as pointing out certain things being demonstrated by 'bushcrafters' today that are not practical at all.

There are a lot of creative solutions for off-grid wash stations, such as the one in this African village that involves a stick that you step on, which is tied to a jug that tips. But I still think my Hillbilly invention is better. https://youtu.be/IfqeL1HQs9k

My Grandpa Reincarnated
I think I found my grandpa reincarnated online - which is strange, since this guy seems to be only thirty years or so younger than my grandpa would be today.
Anyway, the guy talks like us, acts like us. “I don’t think it’ll kill nobody” made me laugh out loud, because that’s our attitude as we continue scarfing down some thing we don’t like but that is technically edible and nutritious.
