The focus is on what is practical, as well as pointing out certain things being demonstrated by 'bushcrafters' today that are not practical at all.

This sort of environment strikes me as the apex of survival difficulty. Forget Everest or the Moon, this is the sort of environment right here that seems to me to require the greatest amount of grit and skill.

I am with Swerth. First snowfall here north of Toronto as well, an hour or so from his place. Local woods was peaceful.
