Here’s another one of those dirt cheap Night Cat tents I posted about the other day. This one is actually really nice and would make a great backpacking tent. I don’t know if it’s rated as a 1p tent or a 2p tent, but for one person, it is ideal and roomy. Easily fit you, your dogs, your pack inside.

Is it worth the trouble carrying one of these on a miles long foot journey through the backcountry? It depends. Sometimes it is worth the trouble, sometimes it ain’t. In my opinion so much of a question like this depends on what other luxuries you’re taking. Taking this lantern usually means foregoing some other luxury.
