The Practical Woodsman is a way to share love of the wilderness, as well as my observations, thinking, and approach to what folks today are calling 'bushcraft' and 'survival'. The focus is on what is practical, as well as pointing out certain things being demonstrated by 'bushcrafters' today that are not practical at all.

The Pre-Video Years 100
I have hundreds, possibly thousands of photographs from my time out in the woods, on different adventures, from before quality video could be easily and affordably shot. I’m going to begin sharing them here as Supporters Content under the title “The Pre-Video Years”. I will number them, starting here with #100, as a way to easily be able to reference them.

What is your theory? I don't have a dog in the hunt about this, but I was just wondering with 30 or more Bigfoot sightings every year how come no one ever bags one? That is the one thing that makes me doubt. I read the sightings which are full of tales of people fleeing in terror, but almost no one ever opens fire. What do you guys think?
